People who are drawn to me are seeking a more holistic approach to solving their visual difficulties. Whether you are a parent bringing your child or someone who has had a brain injury, it is a well-known fact that the brain is pliable throughout our lives and the eyes are a physical part of the brain.
The first 28 years of my life were spent following my family life script. The next thirty years have seen the revisioning of my true being. It has been a humbling as well as an eye opening discovery for which I am grateful. I am eager to share my experience and fulfill my life purpose of helping people heal their vision and consequently, change how they view themselves and the world they create.
The first fifteen years after graduating Cum Laude with a doctorate in Optometry, I practiced with ophthalmologists in an allopathic mode. In a life changing discovery I had the courage to follow my deepest insights and truth, but there were more lessons to be learned and major life changes before I could fully embrace the spiritual and holistic mode I chose. I have experienced that the eyes are linked to the spirit; it was then that I realized I could no longer be in a standard optometry practice. I came to a discovery that if we change our brain patterns, we change our vision and consequently how we interact with our world.
My belief is that there is a very profound link between our vision and how we view ourselves; this affects our ability to function in our internal and external world. In a sense what we see is how we see. Vision Therapy retrains the brain to use your eyes effectively. My premise in working with people is: through our vision, we have the ability to change our physical well-being as well as our perception which in turn changes our behavior and how we view and interact with our environment.
As Marcel Proust said: “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes”. How we perceive our environment determines our behavior, who we take ourselves to be, and how we live our lives. I view Vision Therapy as a powerful tool to expand perception and heal our vision. I believe that we have within us the ability to heal ourselves, and that often, what is missing is a skilled professional who can teach us how to realize that potential. Helping people heal their vision physically, emotionally and spiritually is my life’s work, and I bring my passion and my soul to this endeavor.
I can help you see yourself with more kindness and love. Expanding your vision will also allow you to see others more lovingly. When we are willing to let go of our old way of “seeing”, our eyes are opened to the joyfulness of life.
I look forward to working with you to open your world to a whole new way of “seeing”.
